Three years after the release of the first edition of the Generacja JAZZ compilation, U Know Me Records, in collaboration with U Jazz Me, returns with another wide-ranging look at Poland’s young jazz scene. Generacja JAZZ 2.0 brings together seven previously unreleased tracks, 25 musicians, and a broad spectrum of sounds that reflect just how diverse and open-minded contemporary jazz in Poland has become.

The album features Baobaby, Product May Contain & blu/bry, SKWAR, Igor Wiśniewski, Kosmonauci, SUFERI, and Tymek Papior. Each artist brings a slightly different approach to music – from spiritual jazz and organic, improvised forms to krautrock-inspired experiments, electronics, and futuristic rhythmic structures.

The project was conceived by Marcin “Groh” Grośkiewicz, founder of U Know Me and U Jazz Me. As with the first compilation, some artists were invited directly, while others were selected through an open competition for young musicians. All participants are under the age of 30.

Generacja JAZZ 2.0 is not just an introduction to emerging artists, but also a snapshot of a scene that is increasingly pushing beyond the traditional boundaries of the genre. Here, jazz becomes a space for freedom, experimentation, and the meeting of different musical worlds.

The artwork was created by Ola Szczepaniak. The standard edition is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl and includes an insert.
